Trusted Support for ADF Veterans Navigating CSC Claims

Australia’s superannuation system is complex.

Navigating the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) processes can feel complex, time-consuming, and often unclear.

Military Pensions exists to make that process simpler.

We provide structured, practical support to help ADF veterans understand their options and prepare claims that are clear, accurate, and properly supported.

Our Team

Chris Goodlet

Partner

After serving in the Australian Army, Chris was medically discharged at a young age due to injuries sustained during service. Following his transition from the military, he began volunteering with local Ex-Service Organisations (ESOs), helping fellow veterans navigate the challenges and stresses he personally experienced when leaving Defence.

Chris later joined the Department of Veterans' Affairs, where he worked across both the claims and transition spaces. In his role as a Veteran Support Officer, he served as an on-base advisor assisting serving members as they transitioned out of the military. Through this experience, Chris developed extensive expertise in both the DVA compensation and rehabilitation system, as well as the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation (CSC) military superannuation and pension framework.

Over the past several years, Chris has been the Founder and Director of Military Claims, helping hundreds of veterans and their families navigate the often-complex DVA process. Under his leadership, Military Claims has grown into one of Australia’s larger veteran advocacy firms.

Building on this experience, Chris has now co-founded Military Pensions alongside Claire, a highly accomplished solicitor specialising in superannuation and pension claims. Together, they aim to further support veterans by providing expert guidance and assistance within the military superannuation and pension space.

Built by Veterans, for Veterans

Military Pensions is a veteran and veteran family-owned business.

We understand the transition out of the ADF because we’ve lived it ourselves — including the challenges of dealing with injuries, health conditions, and complex claims processes after service.

This lived experience shapes how we work:

  • Clear communication

  • Practical guidance

  • Respect for your situation

Experience with CSC and DVA Claims

Our team combines lived military experience with deep professional knowledge of superannuation and claims processes.

This includes:

  • A clear understanding of how CSC assesses invalidity benefits

  • Experience navigating CSC claims and review processes

  • Insight into the evidence required to support a well-prepared application

Our focus is on ensuring your claim is prepared accurately and thoroughly, reflecting your true circumstances and allowing it to be properly assessed the first time, reducing unnecessary delays or back and forth with CSC

A Structured & Honest Approach

Every claim is different.

We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach or make assumptions about outcomes.

Instead, we:

  • Take the time to understand your situation

  • Identify what evidence is relevant

  • Provide clear advice on whether a claim is worth pursuing

  • Focus on preparing applications properly

If a claim is unlikely to succeed, we will tell you.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple:

To help veterans access the compensation and entitlements they may be eligible for, with as little stress and confusion as possible.
